PRP Therapy

GROWTH FACTOR THERAPY (PRP)

Below is a description of the process of preparing the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with growth factors.

Natural tissue regeneration – growth factors in the platelet-rich plasma taken from the patient’s own blood - a safe, effective, biological therapy to treat sports injuries (of the muscle, tendons, and ligaments), tendinitis, enthesopathy and articular cartilage injuries (including damage to the articular cartilage and arthrosis – a degenerative joint disease).

Thanks to growth factors naturally occurring in platelet-rich plasma taken from the patient’s own blood, tissue regeneration has taken on a new form. We are now able to treat more effectively than ever:

  • calcaneal spur
  • tendonitis
  • tennis elbow
  • golfer’s elbow
  • jumper's knee
  • runner's knee
  • damage to articular cartilage
  • damage to the rotator cuff
  • damage to adductor muscle attachments
  • damage to other muscles, tendons and entheses, particularly in sports medicine
  • tenosynovitis or bursitis

Growth factors are also used to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), which can lead to better and quicker postoperative reconstruction of the ligament.

It is also used to treat pseudoarthrosis (nonunion) – the growth factors are necessary to repair the tissue which helps to heal breakages.

All procedures that involve injecting platelet-rich plasma are conducted under the guidance of ultrasound to ensure high precision and effective treatment.
